Does this assessment measure skills or intelligence?

What are the benefits of using employee assessments?

Employee assessments help with:

  • Reducing costly employee turnover
  • Avoiding bad hires that negatively impact customer service
  • Increasing profitability by hiring “A” and “B” players

PsyMax Solutions Assessments help you gain insight into how a person acts and thinks You get a current snapshot of a person’s strengths and weaknesses — beyond their technical skills and abilities — and determine a person’s “degree of fit” or match for a position with your company.

Once I purchase as assessment, what happens next?

After you purchase your assessment, you will immediately receive a confirmation email for your order. At any time, you can log in to www.workstylematcher.com and click on the Customer Login link in the upper right hand corner of the Home page.. You can also log in by going to https://customers.psymaxsolutions.com. Once you log in, you will be able to Set Up a Job, Create your Success Profile, Invite candidates to complete an assessment, and Review and print all candidate reports.

To send an invitation to a job candidate, you will need to first list the job (Create A Job) for a position you seek to fill. By listing Jobs in your Dashboard, you will be able to see all the candidates and Success Profiles for each Job you have set up. The next step is to choose the work styles that you believe are the most critical for this particular job in your company. This is called “Creating a Success Profile”, and it gives you the opportunity to tailor each assessment so you can get a Degree of Fit match score for every candidate you assess.

The third step is to list the candidate’s name and email address so you can send them an invitation to complete the assessment. It’s that easy. Step-by-step instructions are available once you have logged into the site using the username and password you set up during the purchase process.

Are the candidate assessments permanent or should employees be re-evaluated over time?

You want to be sure that any assessment report is timely. Assessment results should be considered valid for approximately 12 – 18 months after the candidate completes the assessment. New work experiences, training, or life changes can shift scores over time. If the results are more than about 18 months old, we recommend that the candidate retake the assessment.

It should also be noted that good hiring decisions rely on detailed information from multiple sources. What you learn about a candidate based on any test should always be evaluated in conjunction with other information, including prior work history, job-related technical knowledge, references, work credentials, prior job performance, personal interviews, and skill or ability measures.

What if I purchase an assessment and decide not to use it right away?

Not a problem! If you purchase an assessment, it is available for you to use within the next 12 months. If you decide not to use it right away, it will be available for you within 12 months of your purchase date. Please note that the assessment will expire after that 12 month period and will not be available for you to use.

Can assessment results be used for development and coaching purposes?

The answer is yes. In this case, the information should be used mainly for development and not for evaluation purposes. The advantage of collecting information through well developed and valid assessments is that this information can be used in a very positive way to help people build on their strengths and fine tune their developmental needs.
